Pokémon Learning League has been developed with the participation of schools, students, parents, master teachers, and scholars of education. Pokémon Learning League’s format and instructional strategies are based on research-based best practices in elementary education and educational media. 

Early in the development Pokémon Learning League, a pilot program with several fifth grade classrooms helped reinforce and refine the format to best suit its use as an engaging supplemental resource.  Students who participated in the pilot program of Pokémon Learning League demonstrated improved understanding of core curriculum concepts. 

Additionally, an open forum with teachers, parents, and students helps the Pokémon Learning League team deliver content and features that best meet students’ learning needs.
